Amara Okafor
Founder of one of Toronto's most quietly respected clinical practices and a Maison Academy lead instructor for the Toronto residency.
The path to the Maison.
Amara Okafor trained at the London School of Aesthetic Medicine and read dermatology at the University of Toronto before founding Maison Yorkville in 2011. The practice serves a clientele that does not advertise itself and has, twelve years on, never run a paid advertisement.
She is the lead instructor for the Toronto residency in the Master and Elite programs, where her particular emphasis is the regulatory frame of North American practice and the ethics of recommendation in a market saturated with claim.
Her clinical interest is in the menopausal skin — a population, she notes drily, that the industry has historically discovered and lost in the same decade.
The discipline is in what you decline to do.
